Following our article on the basics of colorimetry, we’re here to help you determine your color profile.
The makeover is made up of several steps, including a study of your body shape to choose the right clothing cuts, and an analysis of your color profile to find the shades that suit you best.
What is your color profile?
Generally, we say there are 4 profiles inspired by the seasons: Spring Woman, Summer Woman, Autumn Woman, and Winter Woman.
Spring Woman: nude and light, luminous colors
You have:
- light hair (blonde, strawberry blonde, light brown, golden highlights…)
- blue, green, or hazel eyes with golden flecks
- fair, peachy-pink or golden skin
Then you are a Spring Woman.
Example of a Spring Woman: Kate Hudson
Go for warm, luminous, and soft colors, as well as more “nude” and natural shades.
Colors like off-white, ivory, or beige should be favored for your upper body. All bright shades with hints of yellow (peach, pale yellow, lime green, soft pink…) will look wonderful on you. On the other hand, avoid cool colors like dark cool blues and purples, which can dull your complexion.
Summer Woman: cool colors and blue tones
You have:
- light hair (blonde, ash blonde, light brown with ashy highlights)
- blue or green eyes with hints of grey, hazel, or cool brown
- fair and rosy skin
You are therefore a Summer Woman.
Example of a Summer Woman: Cara Delevingne
If your profile is Summer, we recommend choosing cool, blue-based colors—preferably pastel but still luminous. White, pearl grey, powder pink, or sky blue will suit you beautifully. Warmer shades like orange or red tones won’t enhance your complexion as much.
Autumn Woman: warm, intense, and muted colors
You have:
- dark hair with warm highlights (red, medium or dark warm brown, copper...)
- blue, green, hazel, or brown eyes with golden flecks
- golden, warm tan skin, often with freckles
No doubt, you are definitely an Autumn Woman.
Example of an Autumn Woman: Julia Roberts
If you’re Autumn, warm colors based on yellow, red, and orange—rich but not too bright—are ideal for you. Natural tones like brown or khaki will also enhance your look. However, pastel shades and very bright clothes won’t suit you as well.
Winter Woman: cool and vibrant colors
You have:
- dark hair (dark brown, deep brown, black…)
- blue-grey, green-grey, cool hazel, cool brown, or black eyes
- fair and bluish skin or very deep skin tone
You are the perfect example of a Winter Woman.
Example of a Winter Woman: Dita Von Teese
Winter Women are especially enhanced by cool, bold shades. Cool blues (royal blue, teal, electric blue), bottle green, fuchsia, and raspberry red are perfect to highlight your features. However, avoid softer pastel shades like powder pink, which can make your complexion look dull.
