For over 50 years, the FVD – Fédération de la Vente Directe – has been passionately working towards the recognition and development of the 3rd distribution channel in France: that of direct selling.
The FVD, representing companies in the direct selling sector
Previously known as the National Association for Home Selling and Service (ANSVD) and then as the Home Selling Union, the term FVD (for Fédération de la Vente Directe) appeared in 2001, accompanied by a new, more impactful visual identity.
For fifty years, the FVD has established itself as the main observatory of a unique and powerful sales channel, outside of in-store and distance selling (such as the Internet): that of direct selling and its interests. Today, it is the only representative body for companies that have chosen to address consumers directly through a network of salespeople in individual sales or group sales.
What are the missions of the Fédération de la Vente Directe?
The main purpose of the Fédération de la Vente Directe is to promote the recognition of Direct Selling and its professions at both national and international levels. The FVD works with member companies, public authorities, and consumers to strengthen the reputation of this distribution model. In France, in 2015, Direct Selling represented 4.04 billion euros in turnover with 640,215 people working in the sector. A very promising field that is revolutionizing employment and income!
From a regional perspective, the FVD is particularly active within the French regions, having appointed a regional President to each of the 12 zones it has established, as well as a President for the overseas territories. Thanks to the presence of a dedicated local representative, the FVD values a particularly structured network and a strong commitment to supporting companies and facilitating dialogue with all stakeholders.
Its related mission, and not the least, is to oversee the development of its member companies – more than a hundred in France today. Coming from all sectors (jewelry, food, fashion and accessories, cosmetics, etc.), the FVD provides them with multiple forms of support: legal, commercial, administrative, and media-related.
