DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO START MY ACTIVITY?
No. The company is not allowed to request a fee when signing the contract. This is prohibited by law. In short, VDI is done with no initial investment!
In many home sales companies, you even have the opportunity to launch your vdi activity with a free starter kit.
CAN I COMBINE VDI STATUS WITH A FULL-TIME JOB?
Yes. Since the independent home seller is not considered an employee, this activity can absolutely be done as a supplementary income (see: the advantages and disadvantages of vdi status). However, be aware that certain professions, such as full-time public officials, ministerial officers, or lawyers, do not allow you to become a VDI.
CAN I MAKE THIS ACTIVITY A FULL-TIME JOB?
Yes, in fact, more than 50% of Elora sales consultants choose to commit full-time to their activity. Find out more about the role of Fashion Consultant at Elora (fashion consultant).
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE MONTHLY INCOME OF A VDI?
The calculation of compensation varies depending on the type of VDI contract.
For a VDI agent contract, the seller receives commissions generally based on the sales revenue generated.
For example, if the seller generates €1,000 in sales and the commission rate set by the company is 30%, they will earn €300.
For a VDI buyer-reseller contract, the seller benefits from quantity discounts on the products they resell and deliver to their clients, earning a profit margin.
For example, the seller will buy 10 bracelets at €20 each and then resell them for €40, €50, €60, etc. This variable margin will then make up their earnings.
WHAT IS A PYRAMID SCHEME?
Pyramid selling is a form of fraud in which the profit does not really come from a sales activity as claimed, but mainly from recruiting new members.
The term "pyramid" refers to the fact that only the initiators of the system (at the top) benefit, taking advantage of those at the base.
Currently, this scam is very present online through email chains promising you can earn money without doing anything.
