DIRECT SELLING: THE RIGHT TOOLS FOR SUCCESS!
16 MARCH 2018
To be a "successful" independent door-to-door salesperson, you need a good dose of passion, organisation and sharing! But that's not all! Having the right tools is essential to the success of your business. Here's acloser look at the best tools for home-independent salespeople, according to Elora, the ready-to-wear home shopping brand!
1/ A notebook like at school
Let's start with the obvious... as anIndependent Home Sales Rep you'll be carrying a notebook with you everywhere you go: to meetings at your home, to Elora meetings, to telephone conversations with your prospects. A veritable record of your thoughts, your arguments and the information you gather about your customers, the notebook will be the starting point for your database. Any good CRM (Customer Relationship Management) starts with good information and a good file fed in real time. Take the time to carry out this crucial step!
Keep strict track of your customers and prospects in an Excel-type file, including contact details, family situation, the number of meetings the person may have attended, any doubts or misgivings, as well as positive references (such as desires or the type of products they are looking for). In short, be thorough.
2/ A phone to stay connected
You'll tell us, it's the basics! Mobile phones are undoubtedly the most effective way of keeping in touch with your customers on a regular basis. Don't hesitate to check in with your community, to thank those present at home meetings, but also to take photos/videos to feed your business.
Avoid the faux pas and follow the Do's and Don'ts of direct selling
3/ A blog to showcase your expertise
A blog is the ideal communication platform for developing your community of customers, hostesses and prospects and maximising your Direct Sales business! In just a few clicks, you can create your own world as a Fashion Consultant, share your passion with your community, send out free information on a regular basis to contacts who are interested in your profession and, above all, you have a unique opportunity to prove your legitimacy as a home seller. Before selling to others, sell yourself!
4/ Social networks to share your passion
Facebook, Instagram and even Youtube, if you're comfortable with them, are excellent immediate communication tools for reaching your customers and future prospects. People on Facebook or Instagram are not necessarily the same as those searching on search engines like Google. By multiplying the points of contact, you also multiply your chances of visibility and conversion. On Facebook, share your blog articles, events and news; on Instagram, a more visual network, share photographs and videos of your home sales! On Youtube, talk about your home sales experience on camera, or film an in-home meeting with hostesses and customers to show your community the atmosphere.
Finally, social networks are also an opportunity to carry out targeted advertising and collect the email addresses of new prospects.
