I'm a hostess at ELORA!

Hello Céline, can you tell us about your work at Elora?

I'm a customer and hostess for Elora, the ready-to-wear home shopping brand. I buy either at home (if I'm the hostess), from friends or directly from the Elora ambassador, also known as the "sales consultant".

Why did you choose Elora?

First of all, the ambassador I met was really nice! We didn't know each other at all beforehand and yet the contact was natural, spontaneous and her approach was very sincere.

I was immediately seduced by the Elora clothing line, which is suitable for women with curves (thighs, hips, breasts)...it's great to feel comfortable, to see yourself highlighted in modern fabrics and cuts. (NB: I am a size 42-44).

The textiles I've chosen are top quality, and most of them are made in France. It's also important to do something for these deserving textile factories!

Why did you choose to be an Elora hostess? Rather than a Fashion Consultant?

Being a hostess allowed me to introduce Elora to my family and friends, and I knew they would appreciate it. I also wanted to give the Fashion Consultant the opportunity to broaden her customer base (for the reasons mentioned above). I didn't think about being an advisor because I'm already very busy with my family and my work. I wouldn't have had enough time to devote to this activity. Being a hostess is just what I needed!

What advantages do you enjoy as an Elora hostess?

Unlike home-based fashion consultants, I don't have VDI status - Vendeur Indépendante à domicile (Independent Home Salesperson ). I simply call on a fashion consultant to come and present the latest Elora ready-to-wear collections in my home, surrounded by my circle of friends and neighbours. On the other hand, depending on the sales made at the meeting, I receive one or more gifts such as discounts, products, etc. In addition to the great encounters! It's a great way to meet new people!

To what extent does being a hostess give you personal fulfilment?

In Pontarlier, there are fewer and fewer shops that suit my style and size, and I rarely fall in love. I dress more out of necessity, not to say obligation. I often go shopping on my own and don't get any advice. And yet I like to be reassured because I don't have a lot of self-confidence. So I really like the Elora concept. You try it out with your friends, it's cool, in a friendly atmosphere, you take your time, no strings attached.

It's also given me the chance to try out other styles, ones I'd never imagined myself in, but which actually suit me and make me feel pretty and more feminine. This freedom is also important, as is the right to make mistakes, to exchange, to give up!

I recognise that being a hostess brings me personal fulfilment. First you have guests at home, then you're invited to the homes of friends and neighbours. You get together with 6 or 8 people for a few hours, meet new people and have a great time. I think that has a lot of value today. Perhaps more so than in our mothers' time. It allows us to "block off" time for ourselves, to take an interest in ourselves but also in each other. It's an exchange, a real relationship that evolves as we meet and get to know each other better. The best part is that you gradually build up a nice wardrobe, you get compliments, it's gratifying.

Any message for young women who are still hesitating?

Elora is an addictive concentrate. The more you experience it, the more you want it!
