Can an independent door-to-door salesperson sell by telephone?

By definition, the activity of a self-employed door-to-door salesperson is characterised by the sale of products in a place not usually used for commercial purposes, to private customers. This means that distance selling is not permitted.

As a result, it is not possible for an advisor to sell a product by telephone. On the other hand, you are perfectly entitled to maintain your customer relations, or to canvass your customer by telephone in order to arrange a date for an in-home meeting. You can also collect your customers' satisfaction levels as part of your activity.

Can a VDI sell over the Internet?

In the same way as by telephone, selling products over the Internet is prohibited for independent home sellers. Regardless of the medium used, whether it's a classified ads site, a personal blog or a page on a network, it is formally forbidden to sell a product in this way.
