Who can become a VDI?

The home sales profession attracts many people. And with good reason!

The independent home seller chooses the brand for which he or she works and operates completely independently, with no real hierarchical links. Home selling allows anyone who wants to start their own business to do so without taking any real financial risks and without having to deal with the administrative side of things.

However, before embarking on such an adventure, it's best to find out about the conditions for becoming a VDI.

Is it possible to combine my main activity with VDI?

You can combine your VDI status with your main job, since door-to-door sales can be used to supplement your income.

However, VDI status is incompatible with certain jobs:

Lawyer
Public and ministerial officer
Court-appointed administrators and agents
Auditor, auctioneer and chartered accountant
Architect
Surveyors

If you are a civil servant, you are in a special situation. Under certain conditions, you can work as a VDI alongside your main activity.

What conditions must I meet to become a VDI seller?

There are few conditions to be met to become a VDI. However, there are some requirements:

You must be at least 18 years old
You must never have been convicted of a criminal offence
You must not be on an Employment Solidarity Contract
Not to be receiving early retirement benefits
You must not be personally bankrupt
Not be subject to a management ban
