The new winter 2019 ready-to-wear collection by Elora plays with superimpositions and the combination of dark pieces and colourful prints to create looks at the cutting edge of current trends. In fact, this winter 2019 - 2020, we're continuing with the autumn trends: vintage, with outfits inspired by the 70s, or tailoring, with the total check suit look for business women!
This season, we're not shying away from colour, breaking with the classic codes of winter outfits that can sometimes be a little too drab, with pieces like the TRIOMPHE emerald velvet blazer or the multicoloured TAMARIS blouse. And to ward off summer nostalgia, we'll even dare to use an Amerindian motif on a flouncy, floaty dress!
Black remains a timeless favourite, with a range of basics: trousers, jeans, blouses and shirts, for sober, elegant outfits that can be enhanced with glittery details! Sequin (glitter) and lurex will be key. And when it comes to accessories, it's the belt that's really coming into its own, with its gold or silver belt buckles to cinch in at the waist on coats, jackets or dresses!
We're also betting on our big pieces like the oversized TRAVEL down jacket and the TAMBOUR jacket in faux fur (for a more ethical world that respects our ecosystem!) or the TOUPIE cape or the TARIJA poncho, which are iconic winter classics.
In terms of prints, wild patterns (leopard, python, zebra) will continue to take centre stage, but will be expressed in darker colours, on both clothes and accessories. Floral patterns and checks will also be very much in vogue, and can be used generously in all-over or patchwork patterns, for romantic and bohemian looks, or rock and grunge!
Lastly, when it comes to trendy materials to opt for this season, we're thinking in particular of silky cupro or lamé knits (like the THEME dress) to shine brightly despite the grey skies, furry materials and woollen sheets to withstand the drop in temperature, and even matt or suede faux leather for an even rockier look!
