A real return to fashion fundamentals.
Spring Summer 2024 confirms this trend, returning more than ever to the very essence of style. The cuts are straightforward and sharp, the lines are fair and timeless, and the materials are ever more responsible, reflecting a desire to consume less in order to consume better.
For its spring wardrobe, Elora is focusing on a collection that can be adapted to everyday life. Elora's wardrobe shuffles the fashion cards with timeless pieces revisited in fresh, all-purpose shades, featuring midi skirts, striped shirts, coordinated suits, wide-leg trousers and small, easy-to-change pieces such as lightweight jumpers, soft T-shirts and printed tops.
Summer brings Bermuda shorts, dresses galore in crepe or satin fabrics, and lightweight tops. Plants, tie & dye and Ikats motifs are also making their way into this summer range, much to our delight.
Fashion is an eternal restart, so get into the swing of things with Elora!
THE SEASON'S KEY TRENDS
The chic, refined silhouette is taking centre stage on the catwalks, with the emphasis on tailored pieces, elegant suits, well-cut jackets and high-waisted trousers. Tailored clothes are no longer as tight as in the past, but loose and comfortable, a timeless fashion without excess, made up of essentials in neutral shades that are easy to combine with each other, yet always neat and sophisticated.
Fashion sees double! Superimposed striped dresses and skirts, outfits in the same print - this season you've got to be daring! Take the unbuttoned shirt, for example, which looks set to be next summer's must-have piece. White, printed, striped, feminine or masculine, it can be adapted to any figure to create a wide range of looks that reinvent the classic wardrobe to which it belongs.
After the miniskirt and maxi skirt, it's now the turn of the midi length, which ends between the knees and the ankles, to have its moment of glory. In its sexiest adaptation, it can be improvised as a pencil skirt. Irresistible.
If you prefer trousers and a practical wardrobe, you'll find cargo trousers, oversized cuts and, above all, maxi pockets everywhere... The utilitarian look has never dominated the catwalks so much.
Admittedly, gender boundaries are tending to disappear in favour of increasingly genderless fashion. Nonetheless, it's always worth remembering that fashion is happy to navigate between masculine and feminine codes.
MATERIALS AND PRINTS TO ADOPT
Sailor-style, on the bias or vertical, stripes add texture to summer silhouettes. Depending on the garment, their thicknesses and colours vary: thin or maxi, classic or very colourful, you'll be completely crazy this summer!
Fashion is also taking a step backwards with polka dots and scarves for this summer's dresses and trousers.
Anyone who loves fashion knows the famous line "Florals? For spring ? Groundbreaking (from the film The Devil Wears Prada. A cliché we're making fun of again this season, letting flowers bloom on spring clothes. Dramatic in XXL or as quaint as an English wallpaper, they transform those who wear them into a pretty bouquet.
If colours and patterns are the order of the day this spring, so too are daring gradations, thanks to the inexhaustible tie-and-dye trend (inseparable from the hippie aesthetic), which allows you to subtly blend solid colours for a change from the too-wise two-tone look, by using it on dresses and tops...
For a gypset or safari vibe, you can also choose from the crochet trend, which is still very much in vogue this season, and the inexhaustible safari trend, with its shades of beige, black, taupe and ivory.
Last but not least, denim has been reinvented. Beads, studs, lacing, embroidery... the blue fabric is embellished with precious details. Adopted in small touches or as a total look, denim flirts with bling for an ultra-desirable jet-set style or gains in elegance thanks to discreetly relaxed cuts.
THE COLOURS OF SPRING 2024
In bright colours, denim, indigo, medium, washed, pastel, lake, sky - blue brings people together!
The palette of green, from the softest to the deepest, has also flourished among the fashion proposals.
The pop version of orange could well be the star of the summer. A sporty season that translates into a vitamin-packed palette, but also ranges inspired by sports clubs, a little less acidic, more vintage, such as reds, in the image of the Roland Garros clay court.
However, in a context where there is a strong desire to break with gender codes that are considered enslaving, all shades of white are invited: pure, off-white, alabaster, cream, linen, clay, ecru, ivory, jasmine and ceruse.
Black and white, gold and silver, whether you're looking for a touch or a total look, you're bound to find something to suit you.
DETAILS THAT MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Opt for the XXL tote bag, worn casually under the arm, to hold both the essentials and the superfluous.
Belt, maxi corset or XXS, the belt for Spring-Summer 2024 is a major accessory. The reflex of the moment? Wear it at the hips to emphasise your curves.
For almost a decade, everyone succumbed to the charm - and inimitable comfort - of a pair of trainers, but they are increasingly being abandoned. We can see the beginnings of the disappearance of streetwear from the collections of luxury fashion houses, quickly pushed out by the return of "discreet luxury". Gone are the sneakers, and to replace them, fashion week designers are including all manner of flat shoes in their catalogues. Barefoot sandals with a sporty edge, or a revival of the ballerina and flip-flop, which are considered to be sloppy. And we're happy about it, because when we see them paired with a blazer and a smart skirt on the catwalks, we're convinced that flip-flops aren't just for the beach - they can be worn anywhere.
