Spring-Summer 2023 celebrates festivity and invokes imagination.
Fashion is constantly inventing and reinventing itself, and this season is no exception. Between optimism and awareness, two strong, opposing trends clash. On the one hand, there's a surge of vitality and carefreeness, with cheerful colours, tie and dye or floral prints, shiny fabrics and sexy, lightweight outfits. On the other hand, it's a calmer, more structured fashion, with black as an unusual colour for summer, a certain military vein with cargo trousers, numerous tailoring pieces and more autumnal fabrics, such as suede and denim, the real star of the season. It's going to be a hot summer for Elora!
THE SEASON'S KEY TRENDS
Denim, yes, but grunge, please! This season, this classic wardrobe staple is getting a darker edge. Faded, studded and layered, denim is regaining its subversive aura. Elora is following the trend and feminising them, combining them with ever-modern cuts.
Denim is also part of the biker mood. From the streets to the catwalks, the motocross trend continues unabated. Orchestrated around the biker jacket, at Elora we're playing with nude suede or the black denim option on the sleeveless jacket, which is still very much in evidence this season.
Glamorous and elegant, tailoring has become a timeless trend! Surfing on the back of last winter's decline in sportswear, the couture spirit continues to dominate. So this season, we're mixing it up, with chic and casual ensembles in loose, comfortable volumes that are still elegant and inventive.
While summer promises to be hot, we mustn't forget that mid-season could be cool. Gone are the perfecto, and this year it's time for a suedette trench coat.
MATERIALS AND PRINTS TO ADOPT
What could be more summery than a tie and dye print? It's making a comeback after being the darling of the 70s, and will become the favourite of women in 2023! Whether you like dreamy, flamboyant or acid colours, tie and dye remains fluid and light.
Floral or graphic print, don't worry, you'll be spoilt for choice. Floral prints are still ubiquitous and come in XXL sizes and a variety of colours. As for graphic prints, whether they're arty, ethnic or wild, they'll be two-tone or in gradient tones.
Crochet is this season's charm asset. A sure bet for spring/summer, for city or beach wardrobes, it is always available in nude, natural shades.
THE COLOURS OF SPRING 2023
In terms of colour, the Barbie core trend of pink is giving way to blue, which comes in all shades to evoke the sea and is set to be THE star colour of the season.
Tangerine orange and sunset shades are good for the soul and brighten up the complexion. All over or in small, scattered touches, they'll warm up your wardrobe.
Monochrome beiges soften the palette for chic looks, contrasting with the return of black for rocking, sexy looks.
